BaselWorld 2012: DeWitt Presents Academia Chronostream Watch

This time traditionally bold design of the watch company DeWitt is embodied in the novelty Academia Chronostream (Ref: AC.6005.053A.M091), presented at the annual international exhibition BaselWorld 2012. Design peculiarity has become the dynamic sporty dial of the watch. The round case and a clear-cut silhouette of the watch are complemented by a small brand’s elegant finishing touch: a pattern of 24 imperial pillars on the ends and the bezel.
The original watch Chronostream is presented in the performance of pink gold and 750th sample and a titanium Grade 5 of the new type. This innovative combination of materials provides the strength and light weight of the model.
The Academia Chronostream watch operates based on the ETA 7753 caliber with automatic winding. Functions: hours, minutes and chronograph. The frequency of the balance - 28,800 vibrations per hour, the balance - Glucydur, spiral balance – flat, escapement - the angle of ascent 510, the number of jewels - 27, the diameter of the mechanism - 30 mm. Power reserve - 48 hours.
The case of the model with a diameter of 43 mm and a thickness of 13.35 mm is made of rose gold or combinations of pink gold and titanium Grade 5. Crown - polished, pink gold or titanium, with the monogram «W». The distance between the lugs is 21 mm. The case back is sapphire, on the screws. The case is decorated with a pattern of DeWitt’s imperial columns at the ends and the bezel.
The dial of the watch is made in an elegant style: the pattern in the form of sunlight on the opal-and-white or dark gray background.
Two small central dials are decorated with trim ring and a decorative element in the form of the grille in the middle. Applied central part is made of pink gold or rhodium-plated and logo of DeWitt.
The hands are made in the form of double-edged sword with a slot. Chronograph is a slim elegant hand; counters are small hands, made in the form of leaves. The watch strap is made of colorful genuine alligator leather. Buckle - folding, polished pink gold or titanium Grade 5 of the new type, with an engraved monogram «W».
