BaselWorld 2012: JORDI Icons of the World

Watch models released in the latest collection of JORDI company (by Michel Jordi) is a limited edition of watches, which are really unique and incomparable (each model is issued in the number of 3 copies). Each watch is decorated with an image of one legendary place of the world.
Icons of the World collection is released in collaboration with Jean-Fransois Mojon, who together with Michel Jordi created unique gong-striking mechanism which main particularity is the back lid which does not work as it usually should work. These is a special hammer in the movement which sounds like a chapel bell. The frequency of the strike is very low – 2 Hz. Christophe Moinat is the main designer of Icons of the World watch collection marked by legendary Swiss signature. Icons of the World undoubtedly amazing, the crystal is made of polished sapphire which reminds shingly stones of the river Rhône. Crown is cylindrical, decorated with an emblem of Swiss flag.
In the dial there is “day/night” indication (at the position of “2 o'clock”). At the position of “10 o'clock” there is an image of some legendary place or monument or city – an image of some country or historic place of the World.
Bezel is made in two colours – red and black, which is a composition of two metals, titanium and red 18carat gold which reflect the spirit of the Icons of the World watch collection made by JORDI brand.

Movement is manual rewind, contain two barrels – one of which is responsible for the gong another one – for work of the watch model. Frequency rate is 28800vph. Movement contain 45 gems. Stock run is 65 hours.

Model contain functions of hours, minutes, seconds, “day/night” indicator, alarm clock, and “switching on/off all indicators” function.

Case is made of black titanium and red 18carat gold. Case diameter is 46 mm. Dial is covered by curved sapphire crystal. Watch model is waterproof (up to 100 ATM).

Dial is made of white 18carat gold/ In the dial there is a number of different indicators: “day/night” indicator at the position of “2 o'clock”, hours, minutes and seconds indicators. Dial is skeletonized. The main particularity is an image of some legendary place which is at the position of “10 o'clock”. Alarm clock indicator is at the position of “4 o'clock” alarm clock “switching on/off” indicator is at the position of “6 o'clock”.

Strap is made of genuine leather (black and red) and supplied with stainless steel buckle.
