New Masterpiece Nemo Sailor by Thomas Prescher at BaselWorld 2012
At the upcoming BaselWorld 2012 the watchmaker Thomas Prescher has introduced a new line Nemo - the first brand’s collection, while choosing the model from which the buyer may also choose the mechanism. The new line includes three models Sailor, Officer and Captain.
The Swiss company Thomas Prescher, founded by an independent watchmaker Thomas Prescher, who is known for its complicated and innovative watches, has presented the first "swallow" – a Nemo Sailor watch. The novelty, for creation of which the master was inspired by steampunk style and novels of the famous writer Jules Verne, is made in a minimalist style with elements of the marine theme. The novelty is fully assembled by hand.
The round case of the new item is made of stainless steel and bronze. Case diameter is 44 mm and the thickness is 12 mm. Bezel is attached to the case by six screws, which provides maximum protection for the dial, equipped with a sapphire crystal. Sapphire also serves as a transparent case back, through which you can follow the progress of non-stop gorgeous mechanism established by master’s hands.
The excellent bronze-colored dial is decorated with hand-circular-grained. On the periphery is located train minute scale. The central blued hour and minute hands at the end are trimmed with golden outline.
The novelty is designed based on Swiss automatic movement ETA 2824, which is perfectly decorated and finished by hand. The helical rotor of self-winding, specially developed for this model, completely fills the hole in the back of the case. A unique caliber provides an analog display of hours and minutes.
The novelty is available on an elegant black alligator strap in black. The Nemo Sailor watch is released in a limited quantity of 25 instances with individual numbers.
