The new models by KUDOKE company – the “Golden Dragon” and the “White Flower”
Watchmaker Stefan Kudoke from Germany started studying the art of timepieces creation from a draft. Two skilled watchmakers taught him to understand and appreciate the mechanical process of time showing.
Stefan's outstanding talent enabled him to finish his studies with honours. Later he polished up his skills first working at the complication and prototypes department of the “Glashütte Original” manufactory and later at the service departments for “Breguet”, “Blancpain” and “Omega” in New York. But those successes were not enough to satisfy him.
Having got his master watchmaker certificate at the age of 22, he was still in hunger for knowledge. The successful study of economic subjects inspired the young master watchmaker to fulfill his dream – start designing and producing watches under his own brand. This moment can be considered the foundation of Kudoke watch company, characterized by the passion for the outstanding and unique, expressed through Stefan Kudoke models' unusual design.
The time has come for individuality – the exceptional, outstanding mechanical time measuring instruments by Kudoke brand.
The company creates enchanting masterpieces of high watchmaking art, combining its experts' outstanding craftsmanship with the astonishing power of the designers' creativity. Each Kudoke piece is unique, thanks to the personal adjustments and preferences of every client.
Among the variety of skills, that the company's craftsmen possess, there are skeletonizing and hand engraving, enabling them to transform common upscale movements into unusual pieces of art from Kudoke. The company's challenge is creative watchmaking and daily search for something new and extraordinary. Because of the huge amount of effort, applied to every unique Kudoke model creation, the company produces rather limited quantities of products. That's why the brand doesn't offer watch collections, as the leading watch companies do. Every Kudoke piece is individual, just as its owner.
This year the company repeatedly presents its high watchmaking art masterpieces at the Baselworld watch and jewelery fair. During the last few months Stefan Kudoke devoted all his time and creativity to elaborating new unique watch models. The unisex “Golden Dragon” watch will be followed by the sophisticated women's “White Flower” piece.
The succession of the year of dragon was commemorated by Stefan with the “Golden Dragon” model. As follows from its name, the gold-plated dragon is carved out of a solid sterling silver piece using the so-called high relief engraving. Its eyes are decorated with 2 diamonds. The dragon can be seen at the back side of the watch as well, grasping the automatically rewound movement's central part with one of its claws.
The dragon stands for luck, intelligence, graciousness and a fiery temper. That's why the company's craftsmen enclosed it between two sapphire crystals to protect the owner from its fiery breath and sharp claws. The dragon is powered by the Swiss movement with automatic rewind, refined in the peculiar Kudoke manner. The flight movements supply it with constant power. The 38-mm diameter case impresses with a number of high quality details, such as the screwed bezel, the case back and the strap elements.
Just in time for spring coming Stefan Kudoke created the “White Flower” model, stunning with its feminine elegance. The rhodium-plated white flowers are hand-cut out of a solid sterling silver piece using the so-called high relief engraving. Next to the voluminous numeric indexes, 8 diamonds serve as hour marks as well. The outstanding handcrafted hands of blued steel contribute to the flower aesthetics. Executed in the shape of leaves, they were specially made for this wrist watch model. The flower, entwining the central part of the Swiss movement with automatic rewind, can be seen at the watch's back side as well.
Flowers need warmth and light. That's why the flowers in the White Flower model by Kudoke are placed between two translucent sapphire crystals, creating the greenhouse effect. The owner's body heat warms the sensible plants. Thanks to the long years of research Stefan Kudoke managed to select a flowers species, that can do without any water. That's why the model's case is water resistant. The flowers' vigor is maintained by the Swiss movement with automatic rewind, refined in the peculiar Kudoke manner. The watch's case with the diameter of 38 mm is notable for high quality of its components, such as the screwed bezel, the case back and the strap elements.
