Luxury Watches Blue Velvet and Red Rose by Backes & Strauss, at the WPHH 2012
The British company Backes & Strauss, known worldwide for its exquisite jewelry and watches, at the Geneva exhibition WPHH 2012 has presented excellent watches Blue Velvet and Red Rose.
The models are the reflection of Regency in England. Regency – this is a time of the appearance of a dandy, the era when elegance and wit are highly valued. Regency was inherent in a particular style in art.
The company Backes & Strauss has embodied styles of this era in the luxurious and elegant watches Blue Velvet and Red Rose. The cases of the models are made of 18 - carat white (Blue Velvet) and pink (Red Rose) gold. Bezels and the "lugs" of the cases are decorated with 2 rows of brilliant-cut diamonds. The outer rings of the mother of pearl dials are inlaid with diamonds. In the model of Blue Velvet between the diamonds on the dial are inserted 12 sapphires, and in the watch Red Rose - 12 rubies. In the central part of the watches’ dials there are three hands and the brand title, and between the indices 4 and 5 there is the date aperture. Watch crowns, decorated with diamond, are located at the "3" o’clock position. The watch is complemented by alligator leather straps with gold buckles. The Blue Velvet watch has a blue strap, harmoniously combined with the colors of sapphires on the dial and the Rose Red watch has a red strap, which looks wonderful with rubies. New items are equipped with automatic mechanisms with rotors made of platinum and features hours, minutes, seconds and date.
The total number of diamonds on the model of Blue Velvet is 289: 114 diamonds on the bezel, 144 - on the dial, 30 – on the clasp and 1 - on the crown. Number of diamonds on the Red Rose watch is 395: on the case - 140 diamonds, 224 - on the dial, 30 – on the clasp, 1 - on the crown.
The Blue Velvet and Red Rose watches are also known under names Regent and Piccadilly.
