Russian independent watchmaker Konstantin Chaykin will present his new masterpiece Mystery at watch exhibition BaselWorld 2012, which will be held from March 8 to March 15 of this year.
The new mechanical marvel of Konstantin Chaykin has no analog. The amazingly beautiful watch has a totally transparent dial in the center of which seemed to move in the weightlessness round the circle the hour and minute hands. The feeling of empty space is enhanced by yellow gold glitter of the case. The hands, driven by an unseen force, index the current time. Miniature shape of the mechanism is completely hidden under the rim of the case, on which are housed large applied Roman numerals and circular aperture of moon phase’s display. The case of the novelty is made of gold. The traditional minute hand in the new watch becomes retrograde. Actually the mechanism is modified by the patented device to correct the lunar phases. A large oceanic pearl represents the moon on the dial of the model. The new "Lunokhod" has an unusual and very luxurious external appearance due to sapphire, which opens for the inquisitive look of the owner an unceasing course of the mechanism.
