Quartime Watch by Konstantin Chaykin

Russian watchmaker Konstantin Chaykin is known in the watch market with original watches. Today the brand offers a completely different format of time indication. It is a model Quartime, the idea of which is separate accounts of morning, afternoon, evening and night hours. Quartime means “time” in English.
In contrast to the division of a day / night (am / pm), this display in mode of morning / afternoon / evening / night is used for the first time. Current time the new Quartime watch displays in a 6-hour format, helping its owner to navigate in the successive periods of the day. The basis of this time display method lies in a natural division of the day into 4 parts - morning, afternoon, evening, night.

The dial has six tiny apertures that function as hour markers. A window, located at the bottom, reports the current time. At night, on the watch are visible from 12 to 5, in the morning - from 6 to 11, and again on day 12 to 5, in the evening - from 6 to 11. The start of each new period of days is accompanied by turning the hour markers and time of day discs.
Due to the mechanism of a new generation by Konstantin Chaykin, it is possible such a way to indicate the current time. The original caliber is placed in a classic style round case in diameter of 40.4 mm, made of stainless steel or pink gold. For decorating the dial, the "Paris nails" guilloche technique was used. The blue hands look original on the silver dial.

Quartime watch

The Quartime model is available in three versions: stainless steel with indication of hours and minutes, the version with the small second’s hand on sub-dial in the steel case and the same model in a gold case.
The watch is equipped with a manufacturing caliber KQR 01-3, consisting of 200 components. All parts have been thoroughly processed and assembled by hand. The assembled mechanism is tested for 2000 hours under special laboratory conditions with a device that repeats the voluntary movements of the human hand.
