The creator of the eponymous watch brand Peter Speake-Marin presents his new masterpiece: Speake-Marin Renaissance. This model is complicated by the minute repeater and tourbillon, which regulates the accuracy of the watch. The novelty is a combination of avant-garde and classical styles: on the one hand it's trendy skeletonized dial, and on the other - graceful curly hands, Roman numerals and a minute repeater function.

The watch has a 44-millimeter round case, made of red gold. The case consists of three components, including enough large lugs for the strap, and has a thickness of 11 mm. The watch water resistant is up to 30 meters. At the 9 o’clock position is set a large button that starts the minute repeater. This device plays the melody of the famous Piccadilly Circus.

Hour markers and Roman numerals on the flange of the skeletonized dial is added the depth and volume, due to their drilling and filling the holes with black paint. Hands are blued; the second hand is fixed to the carriage of the minute tourbillon set at the 5 o’clock position.

Through the transparent case back the caliber is presented in a very different guise, rather than by skeletonized dial. He is covered by an art engraving in the form of a fiery dragon - the symbol of 2012. The mechanism consists of 330 parts (including silicon), has 29 jewels. Its diameter is 32.4 mm and a thickness of 5.36 mm. Balance wheel with a diameter 8.8 mm. Frequency of 21 600 vph. The caliber provides a power reserve of 100 hours in advance.

The Speake-Marin Renaissance watch is available for 370 000 francs.

For the first time the watch of Speake-Marin was presented at the Basel Fair in 2003. The second model was created by the master only three years later, as Peter Speake-Marin produces its own watches, and not just collect items under its own brand name. By 2009, the master has created his own caliber SM2. Main features of Speake-Marin watches are hands in dark blue and the usage of fine engraving.
