RaidThe history of the Italian “Raid” watch company started in the 1990-s, when the company produced its first wrist watch. Nowadays the Italian Raid watches are greatly popular in Japan. Raid company's wrist watch assortment contains some collections and among them is the “Decima Mas” collection, famous for the legendary “Raid Marina” model. This world-famous model was produced in honour of the legendary “Xa Flottiglia Mas” naval squad. According to historians, this squad's name can be found in the chronicles of Julius Ceasar the Emperor's reigning times. The modern naval squad was formed in 1935, thanks to the efforts of Regia Marina squad members, Teseo Tesei and Elios Tochi. At the beginning of the Second World War Xa Flottiglia Mas suffered multiple defeats during the warfare and in 1941 on of it's founders, Teseo Tesei was killed during the operations at the island of Malta. His death was a great loss for the legendary squad. But this loss didn't impact its efficiency and its soldiers' bravery: in December of the same year Xa Flottiglia Mas managed to sink 2 British hostile vessels – HMS and HMS Queen Elizabeth during the battle at the port of Alexandria (Egypt). This victory, followed by some more, brought the team incredible fame. Their victorious series finished in 1943 after the Nazi Italy's unforced capitulation. The Raid Marina wrist watch, dedicated to the legendary squad, is a Raid Decima Mas MarinasymbolRaid Decima Mas Parabellum of Xa Flottiglia Mas' valiant soldiers' indefatigable spirit and an undisputed victory of the Italian Raid company in the watch market. The Raid Marina watch has every military watch feature: the easy-readable dial with luminescent hands and hour indexes and the laconic design, enabling to concentrate attention on the only thing, that matters – time. The famous Decima Mas collection also contains the “Raid Chrono” wrist watch model, notable for the “Memento Audere Semper” words, engraved in the bezel, which means “Always Be Brave” in Latin. Namely this phrase was Xa Flottiglia Mas Raid Decima Mas Chronosquad's motto since 1941 to 1945. The Raid Chrono watch's round case with the diameter of 48 mm is presented in 2 variations: the case of one version is made of high quality stainless steel, distinctive for its maximum firmness and durability, and the other version's case is made of PVD-coated steel. The dial is covered with a firm sapphire crystal. It is executed in black colour with white hands and Arabic indexes, covered with luminescent coating, enabling you to read the current time even in complete darkness. This watch is powered by the automatic Valijoux 7750 movement. The Raid Chrono watch's water resistance is 200 metres. The third model from the Decima Mas collection is the “Raid Special” model, presented in limited edition. The round 48-mm case is made of sustainable stainless steel. The black dial has orange hands and indexes with luminescent coating, standing out against the black background. The dial is covered with a firm sapphire crystal. The watch is powered by the automatic ETA 2824 movement. The watch's water resistance is 200 metres. All the 3 models' crowns are situated on the cases' left sides, which is a traditional solution for all Italian diver watches.
