Lowell Watches

The Lowell watch company was founded in 1972 on the basis of the Modena Watch company located in Modena, Italy. Initially the company made inexpensive plastic watches. But Liliana Caselli, the company's owner, understood that under conditions of tough competition it was necessary to find undeveloped fields in the horology and to create time measuring instruments of original design exceeding the limits of standards. Creative ideas and extraordinary design were the main things that had led to the company's success. The design team focused on decorative finishing of watch models and did not lose. For a short period of time the company achieved success at home and reached the international level. Nowadays Lowell has a wide network of distributors in countries of Europe and America and in Singapore, New Zealand and Japan. Picture watches have brought true success to the company. The idea of such watches was not new but only Lowell masters achieved absolute perfection in this field. Today a third of 65 thousands of Lowell produced wall clocks are picture clocks. In 2002 the company started launching watches with reproductions of famous Dutch and Italian artists on the dial.
