Johner wanted to use in his watches all known inventions of the great masters. But in 2001 Johner surprised everyone: for the year, he created five masterpieces: «Tourbillion blue en Platine», «Repetition Minutes Abyss», «Monopulsunt» (Women's Chronograph), «Chronographe roue a colonnes» (split-chronograph with column wheel) and the interesting mechanism - Caliber 10.
Johner as many watchmakers do not want to "hide" tourbillon. In the model “Tourbillion blue en Platine” case back is transparent, and the mechanism itself is a dial. Yoner developed a drum for this watch. Screws, steel parts of the platinum and even movement are painted blue.
In the same year Johner created a masterpiece of his collection – “Repetition Minutes Abyss”. The mechanism of this watch was created by Johner and Christophe Claret.
Creating chronographs, Johner didn’t want to repeat all the traditions and the ways in which born chronographs. Instead of the usual modern and at the same time practical cam, he put the column wheel. And because this is a complex and difficult system in it production, “Chronographe roue a colonnes” was released only in five pieces.
In the creating of women's wrist watches Johner used not modern middle button chronograph, because they are not very elegant. He created a single-pusher chronograph, which was based on the hand-winding mechanism Jaquet.
