Rado DiaStar Original Skeleton Adds Two Autumn-Coloured Versions

Rado introduced two new DiaStar Original Skeleton versions on 16 October 2026. The models combine an openworked automatic movement with autumn-inspired colours, matching rubber straps and metallic-finish Ceramos bezels. Both use the Rado R808 calibre, which provides an 80-hour power reserve, and each costs CHF 2,250.
Two finishes for the DiaStar case
The new watches retain the recognisable DiaStar Original case profile. One version features a yellow-gold-coloured PVD finish on its Ceramos bezel; the other introduces a rose-gold-coloured PVD finish to this Skeleton design. The bezels have a radial brushed surface, while the rubber straps coordinate with the surrounding dial elements.
Rado introduced the original DiaStar in 1962. The current case design continues that line's focus on unusual shapes and durable materials. Ceramos, used for the bezel, combines ceramic and metallic properties, giving the watches their distinctive surface appearance.

Skeletonised R808 movement
The automatic R808 is visible through the open dial and beneath the faceted sapphire crystal. Its bridges and other components have a yellow-gold-coloured coating. The movement is regulated in five positions, and Rado specifies an 80-hour running time when fully wound.
The rotating anchor emblem is positioned over a dark background above the exposed mechanism. According to the brand, the anchor, hands and hour markers are luminous. This arrangement adds legibility cues without concealing the movement's architecture.
