Tissot - a new sponsor of the Universiade 2013!

The watch company Tissot has become the new sponsor of the Universiade 2013 - a sport event held by the International University Sports Federation (FISU). Tissot will be the provider of timing and scoring of sports competitions to be held during the 27th Summer Universiade in Kazan and the 26th Winter Universiade, starting in the Italian city of Trentino.

Summer and Winter Universiade held every two years. The competition will be attended by athletes aged 17 to 28 from 170 (summer) and 50 (winter) countries. According to the number of participating countries and athletes, the Universiade concedes only to Olympics.
The Summer Universiade consists of the following sports: athletics, basketball, fencing, football, gymnastics, swimming, diving, water polo, tennis, table tennis, judo, volleyball. Winter competitions are seven sports disciplines: alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, ice hockey, speed skating on the short track, figure skating, curling.
