Schlumpf innovations gmhb Presents Time Machine

At the international exhibition BaselWorld 2014, the company Schlumpf innovations gmhb will present the Time Machine watch. Despite the fact that the novelty with its design reminds the grandfather clock, in fact it is not a device for measuring time.

Time Machine Nickel clock

Rather, it is a kinetic sculpture for the sensory perception of time by means of vision and hearing. As Florian Shlumpf notes, the owner and CEO of Schlumpf innovations gmhb, «ordinary watches have numbers and layout, showing the time at the moment. Our watch Time Machine - it is an opportunity to perceive visually the time course".

Time Machine Kupfer clock

The Time Machine watch is in a two-meter in height, made of steel and 60 cm gear. Pendulum with two meters in length moves back and forth, urging you to stop and meditate a little. From the simple watches the Time Machine clock differs in gear in the mechanism does not move linearly, and makes a revolution in response to the rotation of the other parts in the transmission. Gears are not connected with axes and the result is a syncopated timing mechanism.
All items are manufactured using advanced technology CNC in the Schlumpf workshop, and then assembled and decorated with hand-finished.

Time Machine Gold clock

The frame is available in two versions: black or nickel on a polished gloss base. Gear, screws, pendulum, weight and anchor are available of copper, nickel or gold plated.
