In May this year, the British brand Hoptroff has introduced the world's first personal timepiece with quantum (atomic) watch. According to the brand’s masters, this is the most accurate watch in the world.

The new personal timepiece called «Hoptroff No.10» - this is the 10th line, developed by the company. The new device has the "independent accuracy and a half seconds for a thousand years" - it is 240 000 times more accurate than Big Ben.
The novelty Hoptroff No.10 is equipped with a quantum caliber Quantum SA.45s, produced by the American company Symmetricom.

This caliber was initially developed with U.S. Department of Defense for use in cruise missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles, where there is a need for interference with navigation signals GPS. The mechanism with dimensions of 40 mm x 34.8 mm x 11.3 mm is inserted into the case with 25 mm thick and 82 mm in diameter. It is more like a pocket watch than wrist.

The company recently introduced an updated version of the Hoptroff No.10 watch with a gold case made of using the 3D- printing technology. 18 months took for the development of this version, and, according to the company's masters, the result was stunning.

The first 3D - printed prototype of the watch was printed from plastic. It was tested in the watch instead of the traditional case, which has been formed by conventional milling. The company then using the laser sintering of metal (DMLS) built the first model of the watch in a 18 - carat gold case.
