Today the watch market offers a wide range of different watches. Among them there are also special models designed for the blind. American Bradley Snyder has developed a watch with a magnetic ball instead of hands, so that time can be identified by touch.
Snyder - a naval officer, he lost his sight in Afghanistan. Bradley proposed to measure time by means of two bearings placed in special channels on the case of the mechanism. The ball, disposed on the front panel, is designed to measure minute. Another ball, located on the side of the case, measures the hours. Balls are held in place with a magnet and connected to the Swiss mechanism. Time is set by turning the crown at the 3 o'clock.

In order to know the time, the owner of this watch has to touch the balls and find near the divisions which they are located. The mechanism returns the ball quickly to the correct time in the event that the owner accidentally awkward movement pushing them.
The original model is presented in a round case with a diameter of 40 mm and a thickness of 11.5 mm, of titanium. The watch comes on a stainless steel bracelet or a leather strap in mustard yellow, olive, green, or blue.
Currently, the social platform Kickstarter is to raise funds for the release of this novelty in mass production. Note that the first batch of the watch has already sold out. Everyone who contributes to the development of the project $ 128, will be able to get the watch in December.
