Shinola M50Y to the 50th anniversary of the Mustang

In April 25, this year, the car manufacturer Ford has teamed up with watchmaker Shinola to create a watch for the 50th anniversary of the cult car Mustang.
Director of Strategic Partnerships in Shinola, Jacques Panis said: “Mustang - this is one of the greatest characters in the history of American industry. We turned to Ford, because we share the same passion for excellence and respect to domestic production." Ford's head of global licensing Nancy John said: "We want all of our products like Mustang, were an expression of power, passion and quality. Shinola embodies all these qualities, so perfect to celebrate this special moment in the history of the automobile."

Released because of cooperation between the two companies, the novelty Shinola M50Y has a round steel case in diameter of 46 mm. The case is complemented by a rotating toothed bezel with Arabic numerals. The black dial features Arabic numerals and hour indices, as well as three central hands, the hour and minute of which are covered with luminous material. The second’s hand is made in red. Mustang logo adorns the dial at the 12 o'clock position. A sapphire crystal protects the dial.

The novelty comes on a black strap. The watch water resistant - 10 ATM. The model operates on the base of the quartz movement Argonite 1069, which is assembled by hand in Detroit (USA).
The watch is produced in a limited edition - 1000 items, and will be available by the end of 2013.
