Valery Danevich, born in 1968 in Kiev, at first was a wood carver and been not related to watchmaking. However, it lasted until he decided to create a watch from wood. In 2008, Danevich produced his first pocket watch made of wood. To this day, he has released 15 models.

Prior to the annual watch exhibition BaselWorld 2013 on a personal Facebook page, he posted photos and videos of a new wooden wristwatch with tourbillon. The originality lies in the design of the novelty and materials: the whole case and the mechanism are entirely made of wood. In the manufacture of watches was applied 154 parts of 8 wood: burl birch, apple, walnut, apricot, Crimean boxwood, Guayaquil, Bubinga, bamboo. Only spiral is made of metal.
