An Unusual Watch or an Explosive Device?

Security staff of the Auckland International Airport (USA, California) detained a 49-year resident of California Jeffrey McGann for his unusual wristwatch with wires, fuses and switches. Law enforcement officials have suggested that under the dial of the massive odd-shaped watch is hidden a mechanism of explosives. Confusing a bomb with a watch, the airport officials detained McGann and called police. After 5 minutes the scene was cordoned off and engineers arrived in the airport. It was a false alarm, but, despite this, McGann was arrested on charges of illegal possession of materials suitable for making bombs.
