Security staff of the Auckland International Airport (USA, California) detained a 49-year resident of California Jeffrey McGann for his unusual wristwatch with wires, fuses and switches. Law enforcement officials have suggested that under the dial of the massive odd-shaped watch is hidden a mechanism of explosives. Confusing a bomb with a watch, the airport officials detained McGann and called police. After 5 minutes the scene was cordoned off and engineers arrived in the airport. It was a false alarm, but, despite this, McGann was arrested on charges of illegal possession of materials suitable for making bombs.

According to the local police, McGann has repeatedly claimed that he was an artist, and his watch - a piece of art. But they did not believe to him. Indeed, the suspicion was aroused not only by his unusual watch, but the boots with thick soles and insoles with several layers, which can also be used for rackets of explosives.
On the pages of Geoffrey McGann on social networks it indicates that he is the owner and creative director of the company "Generator of Ideas." From 1984 to 1987 he studied design at the College of Art, Pasadena.
