Novelties Raketa 2012 at BaselWorld in an exclusive video clip on montre24.com

Information watch portal montre24.com has been added by another exclusive video clip directly from the annual exhibition BaselWorld 2012, which undoubtedly will be appreciated by Russians. At this time, the video clip is dedicated to the watch company Raketa, which is one of the few Russian manufacturers of wrist watches. Raketa watches differ by their high quality and unique design, in which can be traced elements of Russian culture.
Let's closer meet with the company Raketa and novelties at BaselWorld 2012. Manager and Creative Director of Raketa Count Jacques von Polje kindly agreed to tell about the company’s creating and demonstrate novelties Raketa 2012. Over the last 2.5 year Jacques von Polje is the manager of the oldest manufacture in Russia - Petrodvorets, in which has been established production of Russian watches Raketa. Petrodvorets factory was established by Peter the Great in 1721, which was intended for the production of different beautiful things for luxurious palaces of St. Petersburg, which, incidentally, are now in the prominent museums worldwide, such as Versailles, the Louvre and the Hermitage. After the revolution the factory reoriented its production of jewelry and started the production of such products as the Kremlin stars. Also, the manufacture produced technical stones, which are widely used in military and aerospace industries, as well as in watch making. Such technical stones as rubies are used in mechanical mechanisms. After the Great Patriotic War the factory began releasing of watches under the such names as Pobeda (Victory), Zvezda (Star), and Leningrad. In 1961 the Soviet Union sent the first man into space - Yuri Gagarin. It was so important and worthy of pride event that Petrodvorets factory started the production of watches under the name Raketa. At the time the manufacture was producing 5 million mechanical watches per year. To understand the scope of this production, you can easily compare - Switzerland produces about 5 million pieces of the mechanical watches per year. Thus, the production of one plant is comparable to the watch production of the whole country. Today, the main purpose, according to Jacques von Polje, is the revival and transformation of Russia's oldest factory in the brand of Russia. At the very least, wish good luck to them in their endeavors.

The company Raketa create their own mechanisms from start to finish of their production. So, let’s talk about the novelties. The company Raketa introduced its new self-winding mechanism with which the factory produced from 1976 to '86. Today many Swiss companies have a crisis with the mechanisms, as it is becoming increasingly difficult to order mechanism at Swatch Group. Having released a new self-winding mechanism, the company Raketa hopes to attract the attention to its mechanisms, and why not, to become the supplier of its Western partners.
The first presented novelty was prototype watch, which are based on design of 70th watches. The design of this watch belongs to Natalia Vodianova, who is the top model with worldwide recognition. This watch model is still a prototype, but I think it will be successful. On mother-of-pearl dial are placed red crystals in the form of stars, which are in perfect harmony with a red strap. The case back is covered with transparent glass that allows you to see the internal mechanism. Masters of the company placed on the mechanism a heart-shaped detail as a symbol of charity fond "Naked Heart" established by Natalia Vodianova. This is a kind of union "Naked Heart and naked mechanism." Part of the profits from the sale of these watches will go to the charity fond of Natalia Vodianova.
All watches from the collection of the company Raketa have their own history. For example, was presented a model with a perpetual calendar, which was produced in the Soviet period a million copies. This model with perpetual calendar is waterproof up to 50 meters and it is covered with durable sapphire crystal. Strap is made of leather.
Next was presented model with hypertrophic hour indexes. This is also a historical model and even has a legend that Gorbachev was wearing it during the Perestroika. And when he traveled abroad, Gorbachev was once asked, what is this "reconstruction", he showed his watch and said that we are starting everything from zero. On the watch dial instead of the mark "12" is located a number 0, which is also a feature of Raketa.
At the end of the video clip was described in detail the company's archives and clearly demonstrated Raketa models of these archives, which are different by their characteristics. Today, the company extensive uses these archives, reinvents and creates a new historical models on their base. A striking example of the mentioned above is the polar model.
