In the process of its creation, he studied the theory of watch making and the properties of different kinds of wood, which would be most suitable for long life without the use of other materials. He began to create miniature mechanisms, resulting of which pocket watches, watches-pendants, wrist watches and other types of watches with tiny mechanisms made of wood have appeared.
