Novelty of the XXI Century – Robotic Watch Twenty-One CC: watch the passage of time, without seeing it!

A native of La Chaux-de-Fonds, the capital of the watch industry, located in the mountains of Neuchâtel, Serge Bringolf plans to create a new gadget watch – a robotic watch that will have great prospects in the future.
At first faced with the watch industry, it is not always able to feel the connection between the robot and the timepieces, but was aware of the fact that automata - the ancestors of robots - are the basis of the wathmaking. At the end, Serge Bringolf invented a symbolic object, which joined together the worlds of watches and robotics.

The robotic watch Twenty-One CC - is a futuristic pendulum of Neuchâtel corresponding to the techno spirit of the twenty-first century.
The novelty is made in a single piece. The original idea was to create a monumental clock, which should take pride of place in the park of Robosphère and attract visitors. Later, reflecting on how to achieve success in its use, he started looking for something that could work in a smaller scale than the portable version, thus a symbol has simply become a herald of new trends.
Inspired by the idea, Serge Bringolf began to look smaller in size robots, technically sound and attractive in appearance, to create a global image of the project.

The pocket robot Delta was chosen - the smallest, fastest and most accurate industrial robot in the world - which embodies the concept of an industrial robot, developed by Reymond Clavel and his team at EPFL. The advantages of the robot are in its extreme speed, high precision and excessive endurance. The robot can also be reduced to the desired size.
The robot is perfect runs on a horizontal surface, and this opportunity is used to display the time vertically with backlight, transparency and mirrors at an angle of 45 degrees.
On the novelty’s display for indication are used 1000 gems that are installed in the slots, and the robot moves them every minute and displays the correct time in digital format. Jewels are moved by columns, and each new combination of figures reveals a short schedule. Semi-transparent and colored precious stones under the influence of powerful and energy efficient LED lamps produce a lot of sparkling reflections.

Nothing should detract from the center of the object. The curves of the case gracefully hide the whole process of advanced technologies. Glance is riveted to the beauty of dark carbon fiber, which imparts to the texture pure forms, fading into the center, where the action is itself.
In the model there are combined two existed parallel worlds: the "real" world in three dimensions at the top, where the precious inert stones are moving with the polished of the robot and the virtual world in two dimensions at the bottom. The model XXICC is so "clever" that can always adapt to the environment and "float" on the passage of time, i.e. you will always control the watch sound and pick up the corresponding tone.

Simply connect the watch to the nearest power outlet and the computer will tell you everything: lighting, standby, an informed choice...
Serge Bringolf to create the model is guided by the concept: "Use the best of what exists, otherwise - invent." The proportions and height of the cubes are made with Modulor scale developed by Le Corbusier - the famous engineer, architect and city planner, a native of La Chaux-de-Fonds.
The novelty is unique in every way. In the steel case of Twenty-One CC is engraved with the name of the future owner, ready to pay for a unique gadget 150,000 Swiss francs.
