BaselWorld 2012: New Watch Collection by Vivienne Westwood
At the annual exhibition BaselWorld 2012 the watch company Vivienne Westwood, which develops and produces exclusive jewelry and watches, characterized by an unusual design, has introduced a new collection of watches.
Vivienne Westwood - a British designer, a founder of punk style in fashion. She was born in 1941 in England. Seriously engaged in design since 1971, when she opened its first store “Let It Rock”, later renamed the “Too Fast To Live Too Young To Die”, and then “Sex”.
Vivienne engaged in production of garments, as well as various accessories and items, which differ with an extravagant design. In her collections occupy a special place wristwatchs, presented in various forms and design variants.
The new collection, presented at BaselWorld 2012, includes original models Ceramic, Union Jack, Tartan, Cube in round, square, rectangular cases made of ceramic, titanium and other materials. In each model is felt a kind of elegance, sophistication, excellent combination of different materials and stones, giving the watch an exclusive appearance.
Ceramic model is the embodiment of sophistication and elegance. Novelty is presented in a circular case made of white titanium. White gold-plated titanium bezel with serrated tips gives an incomparable appearance to the watch. Time indices, made in the form of lines, and three hands are also gilded. The central part of the dial is decorated with designs and brand’s logo at the 12 o’clock position. The novelty is complemented by a white ceramic bracelet.
Cube - the second model in this collection, presented in a black color scheme. The square black case harmonizes with the black strap. The dial is decorated with crystals Swarovski, the brand’s logo at the 12 o’clock and three central hands.
Tartan - the model takes its name from the word "tartan", which is an ornament formed with twill weave, pre-painted in different colors, resulting in a checkerboard pattern consisting of horizontal and vertical lines, as well as rectangular areas filled with diagonal stripes. Scottish tartan has always been used in the creation of different designer products.
The novelty with circular case is equipped with an original dial, which combines different colors. The same colors are used to create a strap that complements the image of watches.
The last model Union Jack is presented in the gilded rectangular case. Roman numerals occupy their place on the dial, which is the flag of the United Kingdom. The model is complemented by a black leather strap.
All Vivienne Westwood watches are equipped with Swiss mechanisms to ensure their accuracy and reliability.
To buy Vivienne Westwood watches is possible also in other colors. These models will be available in autumn 2012.
