Movado — Datron® Quartz Chronograph at BaselWorld 2012
Movado Datron® is a quartz chronograph which can get you an opportunity to travel along the time. Movado watch-makers are proud of their traditions and while making new watch models they apply them and modern technologies both.
Watch collection released in 1970 was changed and modified a bit by Movado designers. Tonneau case in a new edition got a round dial inside. Watch model released in 1970 was made in silver-black design, but the new one it got silver-steel colour. Case colour and dial colour were almost the same. The next difference of the new model was the shape of date aperture placed in the upper part of the dial. Now it is rectangular, but before it has been round.
Bracelet is made of matt stainless steel which absolutely suit sporty style of Movado watch. The name of a new quartz chronograph was «Datachron», but soon it was shortened to Datron®.
Movement is quartz, based on caliber Ronda 5040.B
The main functions are hours, minutes, seconds, date and chronograph.
Case is made of stainless steel. Case diameter is 40mm. The dial is protected by scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. The crystal is anti-reflective coated inside. The crown is screwed down back. Watch model is water resistant (up to 50 meters).
The dial is silver-colored. In the dial there are eight raised hour-marks. In the middle of the dial there is a group of three counters, which are located at the position of “6 o'clock” (12-hours counter), at the position of “9 o'clock” (30-minutes counter) and at the position of “3 o'clock” (a small hand of seconds). A big aperture of date placed at the position of “12 o'clock”.
Bracelet is made of stainless steel and supplied with folding clasp.
