Metropolis Type M-3 Watch by Gerge at BaselWorld 2012

Young Swiss watchmaker Gerge, which is the successor to the experience and skills of two generations of excellent jewelers and craftsmen - watchmakers, since its foundation has set a goal to create original and exclusive models of watches made in strict minimalist design, but fitted with the highest specifications. The Metropolis Type M-3 watch, presented at the world exhibition BaselWorld 2012, is executed in this style.
Metropolis collection was launched back in 2010 and consists of three basic models, which differ from each other in several features. Model of Metropolis Type M-3 is a one-button automatic mechanical chronograph. It should be noted that while creating the watch the designers were inspired by the urban architectural compositions that appear in the film of German director Fritz Lang's "Metropolis" as well as the houses of the capital of watchmaking - La Chaux-de-Fonds.

The model is equipped by a round case with a diameter of 45 mm, made of titanium or 18-karat rose gold. The bezel and case back of the watch and made of titanium or pink gold. The black anthracite dial, decorated with «Côtes de Genève» pattern features white Arabic numerals and three hands, covered with fluorescent material. The figure "8" is presented as a symbol of infinity. The 30-minute counter and the small second hand are located at the hour markers "3" and "9", respectively. The date aperture is between the hour markers "4" and "5". The dial is protected by a convex anti-reflective sapphire crystal. The crown of the watch is at the 3 o’clock position, and a single button chronograph with label "2". The watch water resistant - 100 meters, or 10 ATM.
The model is complemented by a black alligator strap with titanium buckle. The Metropolis Type M-3 watch is equipped with an automatic mechanism Concepto 2021, which meets the requirements of COSC. The mechanism is equipped with a 46 - hour power reserve and features hours, minutes, seconds, date and chronograph.
The Metropolis Type M-3 watch is released in a limited edition - 88 items.
