New models of collection Capeland by the company Baume & Mercier at the exhibition SIHH 2012

The famous Swiss watch company Baume & Mercier has introduced its new models of the collection Capeland (Ref. 10068, 10063, 10064, 10065, 10062, 10084) at the Geneva SIHH 2012.
New watches, like every model, presented by the brand, combine the best traditions of watch making and unique elements of design with the use of three-level system of design, which includes market research, creative conceptualization and the use of special technologies. Collection Capeland strongly embodies the form, color and original features that best convey created by the brand world seaside living. Retaining many of their distinctive attributes, including Arabic numerals, tachymeter scale, telemetry and short retro lugs, but adding a larger case and a new two-tone solution of the dial for base models, Baume & Mercier expands choices of the watches Capeland.
The company also enriches the collection with new fashion colors that are present either on the dials, or alligator strap. The new models offer not only with 42 mm cases, but also 44 mm cases with transparent case back with sapphire glass, which allows enjoying work of the movements.
Each size is offered with a catchy metal bracelet or with alligator strap to emphasize the positioning of this line in the style casual - sport chic. Some of the new models of the collection Capeland are fitted with a new built-in metal bracelet with triple folding clasp with lock. The collection Capeland 2012 consists of 13 new attractive models, including a new sign model made of stainless steel with a new interpretation of the dial.
The watches Capeland, known as chronographs for special moments, thanks to their attractive warm appearance, have become the models for any season and any life style. These automatic chronographs are equipped with high quality movements and they differ by expressive parts of their dials, including Arabic numerals, covered with a substance Superluminova.
All models are presented with round case in diameter of 42 or 44 mm, thickness of 16.5 or 14.9 mm. The watch is made of polished, satin steel, and the dials are closed with convex anti - reflective and scratch resistant sapphire crystal. The case back of the watch is also covered with sapphire glass, attached to the case by 6 screws.
Multi-colored dials are marked with Arabic numerals, two or three counters of chronographs. The date aperture is located between 4 and 5 hour markers. All models of the collection Capeland have water resistance 5 ATM. The watches are equipped with automatic mechanisms:
Capeland (Ref. 10068) is equipped with mechanism La Joux-Perret 8147-2 with 27 rubies, with power reserve of 48 hours. Functions: hours, minutes, chronograph with retrograde second hand, tachometer, telemeter, date.

The mechanism for creating of this watch has been modified by engineers at Baume & Mercier into flaybek, which allows owner to switch from one to another timing by touching one button instead of three. The rotor is styled as logo of Baume & Mercier, the Greek letter "φ" - a symbol of balance and perfection. The rotor is designed as a "skeleton" and expertly styled Côtes de Genève.
Capeland (Ref. 10063, 10064, 10065) is equipped with mechanism La Joux-Perret 8120 decorated in style of Côtes de Genève parts, assembled with 25 rubies, power reserve - 48 hours. Functions: hours, minutes, seconds, chronograph, tachometer, telemeter, date. Capeland (Ref 10062, 10084) is equipped with mechanism Valjoux 7753 with parts decorated in style of Côtes de Genève, assembled with 27 rubies, power reserve - 48 hours. Functions: hours, minutes, seconds, chronograph, tachometer, telemeter, date.
Model Capeland 10084, conceived as a hymn to the variety of black tones, has a black alligator strap and dial combining satin black and anthracite parts, giving the watch elegance and mystery.
New models of the collection Capeland will be available in April or May 2012.
