And if that does not turn the watch a masterpiece of art, thanks to some original design of the case, into the real museum? That is done with the wrist and pocket watches Dominic Wilcox in a new collection with a paradoxical title "Including London robber."
Wilcox just picked up the collection of old mechanical watches, set sculptures on their hands and instead of usual glass covered dial with the whole dome, under which every moment unfolds a show. The glass domes for watches by Dominic Wilcox are specially manufactured in Sunderland. And every watch sculpture was fashioned manually by Wilcox.
Above the dial of some watches played the fun hand of robbery is playing: the robber in the hood with an LCD- set in the hands is spinning on the second hand, confusing before the police, fixed on the minute hand.
On the other watch a man is sitting on a chair. But only when in the space above the dial the minute and second hands are the same position, and then it in surreal manner maintaining a sitting posture soars in space.
The unusual watches from the collection "Including the London robber “are exhibited at London gallery Dezeen Space until October 16.
