Lotus Watches

Lotus WatchThe Lotus brand is the Spanish-Swiss concern. The company was founded by Miguel Rodriguez, a Spanish entrepreneur, in 1980. In 1984, he bought up the famous Spanish Festina watch brand (established in 1901) and in 1989 – the jaguar brand (established in 1938). Later on, the Festina Lotus SA swallowed up the Candino holding company that, since 1947, has been developing and producing advanced models of watches. Its factory in Herbertsville is one of the leading factories to make watches and watch movements. In 1996, the concern launched the new Calypso brand.
As a result of the transformations, the Festina Lotus SA headquarters moved to Switzerland,  actively started developing and then through sale volume reached leading positions at the watch market.
Lotus watches are made of the most contemporary materials. This is the original design and the highest quality. The Festina brand plays a main role in the Lotus concern. Its goal is to create elitist, sports and democratic watches. The Jaguar line consists of high quality mechanical watches with gold cases. The Lotus and Calypso brands are intended for the Mediterranean watch market. In Candino's turn, it makes watches for a medium customer.
The company's collections include models for men and for women, but the latter does not yield to them in the technical characteristics.
During some years, the company supplies watches for the Tour de France. As a result, the split-chronographs appeared. The watches are very light and solid, have very precise movements.
