JEANRICHARD Watches

The JEANRICHARD watch brand is named after a talented watchmaker Daniel JeanRichard. He is also known as an inventor of instruments and equipment for producing watches. According to legend, Daniel assembled his first watch at the age of 15. Daniel was born in 1665, in Switzerland, in the town of Bressel located between La Chaux-de-Fonds and Le Locle.
The antique watch brand received a new life. During the company's revival the relatively young watch brand has paid homage to the master of genius whose name it has. Having used the accumulated experience the watch brand has become a modern company. Thus it is winning independence and stability.
Today the JEANRICHARD watch brand is headed by Massimo Macaluso, a son of Luigi Macaluso who has revived the GIRARD PERRGAUX watch manufactory a few years ago. Thanks to experience in restoring the brand, Luigi Macaluso created the JEANRICHARD watch brand and gave it to his son.

Not very long ago the JEANRICHARD watch company moved to La Chaux-de-Fonds to be nearer the center of the Swiss watch industry and closer to the Girard Perragux watch brand, and in the former headquarters of the brand a museum of the horology and ancient machines, one of which made by Daniel JeanRichard himself, is already opened.

The creation of the JR1000 watch was the next important step in the young watch company's life. This watch featured contemporary design and the self-winding movement. Thanks to the creation of JR1000, the JeanRichard watch brand joined the club of brands producing their own watch movements. The JR1000 wrist watch was a basic model for the company to make other lines of watches.
Bressel is a nickname given to the watchmaker of geniuse Daniel JeanRichard. The name is associated with his birthplace. So the company has devoted the Bressel wrist watch line to perpetuate the memory of this great watchmaker. The line has been produced to his 340th anniversary. JEANRICHARD for MV Agusta is a commitment to precise mechanics, having brought together the JEANRICHARD watch brand and the MV Agusta motorcycle manufacturer. MV Agusta is a legend in the motorcycle world, wins in international races for many years and manufactures motorcycles Brutale whose steering wheel is decorated with the emblem «MV Agusta for JEANRICHARD». Naturally, the JEANRICHARD watch brand has released a limited line of watches called JEANRICHARD for MV Agusta. Watches are  rectangular case chronographs based on the caliber JR1000. Each model is individually numbered. Case are made of steel, gold and titanium. Nowadays it is difficult to purchase a JEANRICHARD for MV Agusta watch, because it has been a collection rarity.
Also the JEANRICHARD watch brand has realised an exclusive watch line called Juventus devoted to the football club.
The company has developed a watch line for women, adorned with precious stones: Lady Dulcinee Tourbillon, Lady Petit Second and Lady 38mm.
