 The Italian A.Cairelli watch brand is historical enough to be a recognized watch company. It's foundation dates back to 1932 – the period between the 2 World Wars. This period is considered the beginning of the contemporary watchmaking era in watchmaking history. That's exactly when wrist watches started to evolve and supersede pocket watches. The war was a powerful motivation for development of technologies, including the watchmaking one. In different European countries military time watchmakers “counted” time not only on their movements, but also led subversive activities, literally, as most of explosive devices' movements, activated with 1 second precision, were often produced by watchmaking companies. One of such companies was A.Cairelli. It was focused on producing watches for the Italian air forces. For that time A.Cairelli chronographs were ideally adapted for flights. The company suspended its activity at the end of the 60-s. But nowadays it's competent and it continues producing professional civil and military wrist watches. A.Cairelli collection features only 5 lines. All watches' design is significant for its military “poise” and sports-like elegance at the same time. The watches are equipped with the Swiss ETA plant's movements.
