Akteo-Akteo was founded in 1992 by Jean-Christophe Mareschal. These watches are inspires by the world around us. Jean-Christophe, the company founder, is “fallen in love with life”, as he says. His curiosity revealed in the Akteo-Akteo watches in full: each model is an unusual presentation of quite ordinary things surrounding us. By means of his watches, full of humor, pinch of poetry, his own vision, Jean-Christophe shows us what he sees around him.
A bit provocative style of his wrist watches is more like he is having fun. But the design themes are so various that everyone can find something close and clear for him. The vivid miniatures create scenes on dials with non-stop motion.
Jean-Christophe manages to create the mini-productions of famous works with actors like Man Ray, Martin Jarrie and Jran-Paul Albine on the Akteo-Akteo watch dials.
The company in close collaboration with and upon an initiative of d’Arte issued several limited editions. That time the heroes of Akteo-Akteo dials were modern actors Gerard Fromanger, Jean-Michel Alberola and Ernest Pignon. Akteo-Akteo also realizes the art projects. So, the company was the partner of such cultural events as The Cannes Film Festival, “Muzik’elles de Meaux” (including literary prizes), “les Francofolies de la Rochelle”, “les Victoires du Jazz” and others.
The Akteo-Akteo watches are presented by the following series: “Art”, “Life Sensation”, “Nature”, “Profession”, “Sport”, “Civilisation”, “Tempus”. Each of these series is a little “inspiration” created by Akteo-Akteo, which shows the very usual things we may not notice in everyday life.
