Swiss watchmaker Louis Moinet has released a special edition model Jules Verne III in honor of the 185th anniversary of the French writer Jules Verne - an author of the science fiction novel "Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea."

The chronograph Jules Verne III, controlled with one button, is provided in a case with diameter of 45.5 mm of rose gold and titanium. There is also another version of the model with stainless steel and titanium. The black dial is decorated with ornaments in the form of sunlight. The special pointer on the dial indicates which function is selected - start, stop or reset.
The dial has a silver ring with Arabic numerals, two counters and silver hour and minute skeletonized hands. The red second’s hand looks very nice on the black dial. At the 7 o’clock position is a small date aperture.

The Jules Verne III watches features an automatic caliber Louis Moinet LM30 with a 48-hour power reserve. Thanks to the transparent back cover, decorated with the inscription “Jules Verne, Instrument III”, it is possible to observe the work of the manufacturing caliber.
