In 2001 under the cooperation of the two Japanese companies Miyake Design Studio and Seiko Instruments (SI) a number of original watches have appeared, created by leading designers from various fields.
Satoshi Wada
A new model range of Issey Miyake has developed by a well-known automobile designer Satoshi Wada, an author of the famous coupe Audi A5. In 2009 he founded its own design studio SWdesign TOKYO and began to realize the concept of Minimal x Future, deriving the idea of simplicity in the objective design in the forefront.
W watch by Satoshi Wada differ accurate lines, simple shapes and design conciseness. At the same time they contain the elements of car design: the round case resembles a massive wheel drive, the dial is made in the style of the dashboard.
W watches by Issey Miyake
The novelty is presented in several versions - in steel or with black IP-coating in combination with black, white or gray dial. Inside the case is mounted a quartz movement with chronograph function and date indication.
W watch is supplied with a black leather strap or a steel bracelet. Waterproof of the models lets go down to a depth of 50 m.
