Dutch watch company Christiaan van der Klaauw has announced another model of the wristwatch Aquarius Planetarium. The famous watchmaker Christian van der Klaav became popular thanks to the production of astronomical watches.
In 2011 the company has presented a watch Real Moon 1980, complicated by two unusual astronomical pointers and the first model of a new line of CK Masterpiece Planetarium, which has become the smallest mechanical planetarium. The line includes 12 models according to the number of zodiac signs.
The new watch Aquarius Planetarium is devoted to the sign of Aquarius. On the white gold dial is engraved the image of Aquarius, skillfully made by an engraver Kees Engelbarts. On the dial at 12 o'clock position is set an indicator with the orbits of the Earth, Saturn, Jupiter, Mercury, Mars and Venus around the Sun. The round switch month pointer is mounted between 4 and 5 o'clock.
The round classic case is made of platinum. The case diameter is relatively small - 40mm. A sapphire crystal protects the case from the front side and serves as a transparent case back.
The novelty is based on the automatic caliber CK 1196, advanced with the manufactory module Planetarium. The rotor of the mechanism in 18-karat gold is decorated by hand. The caliber provides a display function of time by the central hour, minute and second hands.
The novelty comes on a black alligator strap, fitted with a buckle in platinum.
To buy Aquarius Planetarium and the next eleven models will be worth in 79 500 euros.
