Swiss watchmaker Fortis, paying homage to aircraft F-4F Phantom, has introduced a new watch model B42 Phantoms Phorever Flieger Chronograph, issued in a limited quantity of 175 items. 28 June 2013, the legendary fighters of the Air Forces of Germany F-4F Phantom made its last flight. A new type of fighter aircraft Eurofighter Typhoon came to replace them.

The novelty is enclosed in a round stainless steel. Waterproof to 200 meters, the case has a diameter of 42.0 mm. At the 3 o'clock position is posted a crown with Fortis’s logo on the top. At the 2 and 4 o’clock are located the chronograph pushers. On the top of the case and its screwed back cover is installed an anti-reflective sapphire crystal.
The matte black dial features Arabic numerals and hour indices with white luminous material. On the periphery of the dial is placed a round tachymeter scale.

F-4F Phantom
The hour and minute hands with luminous material in white carry out time indication. The small second’s hand is placed at the 9 o'clock position, where is also a depiction of aircraft F-4F Phantom. At the 3 o'clock position is fixed the date by means of the relevant letter and digit pointers, located in the twin apertures. Chronograph functions are displayed on the 30-minute indicator at the 12 o'clock position, 12-hour indicator at the 6 o'clock position and with the help of the central second’s hand.
The B42 Phantoms Phorever Flieger Chronograph watch functions on the base of the Swiss automatic movement ETA Valjoux 7750. Collected on the 25 jewels, the caliber has a balance frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz), and a power reserve of 42 hours.
