New Tazio Nuvolari - Vanderbilt Cup Timepiece by Eberhard & Co

Swiss watch brand Eberhard & Co has introduced a novelty Tazio Nuvolari - Vanderbilt Cup, released in honor of the great Italian automobile and motorcycle racer Tazio Giorgio Nuvolari (1892 - 1953). The presented model Tazio Nuvolari - Vanderbilt Cup (Réf. 31068) is devoted to the victory of Tazio Giorgio Nuvolari in the race for the Vanderbilt Cup in 1936, in New York.
The novelty has a round polished case made of stainless steel. Waterproof up to 30 meters, the case in diameter is 42 mm and the thickness is 13.45 mm. The crown, installed at the 3 o'clock position, and chronograph pushers, located at the 2 and 4 o’clock position, are decorated with Tazio Nuvolari (TN) initials on the top. On the top, the case is protected by a double anti-reflective sapphire crystal, which is also set on its screwed back cover.

The matte black dial of the model is marked by embossed Arabic numerals in white. On the periphery of the dial, there is a round tachymeter. The respective central hands carry out indication of hours and minutes. The small second’s hand is put on the additional dial at the 9 o'clock position. Chronograph functions are displayed on a 30-minute indicator at the 12 o'clock position, 12-hour indicator at the 6 o'clock position, and through the central second’s hand.
The novelty runs on a Swiss automatic movement Eberhard & Co 8102, assembled on the base caliber ETA Valjoux 7750, 25 jewels. The reliable caliber has a balance frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz). Functions: hours, minutes, seconds, chronograph. The caliber is perfectly polished and decorated with the Côte de Genève ornament.
The novelty comes on an elegant black leather strap with white stitching and a stainless steel buckle.
