F.P. Journe Represents Quantième Perpétuel Watch

The company F.P. Journe has announced the release of the model Quantième Perpétuel, complicated with the most practical and functional complications - a perpetual calendar. The calendar data is automatically displayed, taking into account leap years and the different number of days in the month. You only have to manually adjust the 21st of March, 2100: according to the Gregorian calendar, this year is not a leap year, as every three to four centuries. Setting calendar information is carried out by using a three-position crown. A hidden lever located under the eye at the 1 o’clock position performs month adjustment. Months, in which are 28, 29, 30 or 31 days, as well as three non-leap years are automatically taken into account.

Calendar indexes are shown in the central part of the dial, decorated with red gold or platinum. At the 12 o’clock position are located windows of day and month, and over the 6 o’clock position - a double date aperture. In the center of the dial, under the hour and minute hands in black marked by three non-leap years are marked in black, and in red - a leap year. The harmonious integration of the pointers to the structure of calendar dial provides perfect readability.
