Christian Redl, a world record for free diving without scuba gear in ice-depth, is planning to establish a new record. The company Edox is his official partner.
The absolute record of Christian Redl is a dive into the icy depths to 61 meters. In the autumn of 2012, he plans to make a new immersion in a mountain lake Gokio. It is located in Nepal at an altitude of 5160 meters above sea level. It must be remembered that in the late autumn conditions for diving will be quite severe: the wind, the temperature below zero, and the very low content of oxygen in the air, which can lead to pulmonary edema.
Surrounded by a reliable team of scientists and physicians, Christian Redl is going to set a new record and go down to a depth of 62 meters. Immersion of the athlete in water without scuba gear at an altitude 5160 meters will be a real test for him. Scientists will conduct the important researches in the field of human potential.
