French watchmaker Moog, specializing in the manufacture of women's watches, has released a limited edition watch Arc de Triomphe. It was created in honor of the famous monument in Paris, at the foot of which Champs Elysees originate.
Arc de Triomphe
Arc de Triomphe, located on the Place Charles de Gaulle, was built in 1806-1836 by order of Napoleon's architect Jean Shalgren. Arch is made in antique style, it is surrounded by 100 cabinets, which symbolize the "Hundred Days" - the period after the return of Napoleon from the war until his abdication from the throne.
The company Moog has released 100 items of the Arc de Triomphe watch to commemorate the 100-day reign of Napoleon.
Arc de Triomphe watch by Moog
Each instance of the limited series has a mother of pearl dial decorated with the image of the Arc de Triomphe. Instead of hour indexes are inserted diamonds, except the figure 6, where the brand’s logo is set. Straps on which are written the names of 12 streets, which originate from the Arch, supplement the watches from the Arc de Triomphe collection.
The new items are equipped with the vintage basic mechanisms of French production. Each instance has its own serial number, which is engraved on the case back.
