Swiss watchmaker F.P. Journe has announced a new luxury watch Chronomètre Optimum, presented in two versions: 18K rose gold or platinum.

The model wears a case in diameter of 40 or 42 mm and a thickness of 10.10 mm. On the top of the case and its screwed backside is installed an anti-reflective sapphire glass through which you can watch the progress of the non-stop perfectly designed caliber.

The new Chronomètre Optimum watch operates on the base of the manufacturing movement 1510 with manual winding, consisting of 240 components. Made of 18K white gold, the unique caliber in diameter is 34.40 mm and the thickness is 3.75 mm. The mechanism on the 44 jewels is enhanced by two paralleled winding barrels, patented high-performance bi-co-axial escapement EBHP, patented titanium device of the constant force (Remontoire), "dead beat second", spiral balance with the Phillips curve. Carrying frequency of the caliber is 21,600 vibrations per hour and power reserve is 70 hours. The main platinum of the caliber is finished circular graining, bridges are decorated with the exquisite Cotes de Geneve pattern, and the screw heads are perfectly polished.

The dial, made of gold or silver, is marked with Arabic numerals. The dial is covered with elegant decor and a guilloche pattern decorated in the style of clous de Paris. Time indexing is carried out by means of the central blued hour and minute hands. The small second’s hand is put into the lateral dial at the 9 o’clock position. The data of the power reserve are recorded on an analog display at the 6 o’clock position.
