Edox and Christian Redl master water depths: dive to 200 feet

The watchmaker Edox in the current 2012 year will once again be sponsoring the next world record for the famous conqueror of the expanse of Austrian water diver Christian Redl.
As a 20-year-old boy, Christian Redl saw the movie Big Blue and just fell in love freediving. Christian Radley became known to the world by records set by in the under-ice diving.

At this time the athlete has decided to improve its record and its unique capabilities to provide the service of science. Christian Redl began collaborating in the project Gokyo and again plunged through the ice of Lake Gokio to a depth of 203 feet (62 meters) in October of this year.
The depth of the Gokio Lake is 203 feet. The lake lies at the foot of Mount Gokio Ree with a height of 5483 meters and is the highest freshwater lake in the world.
Christian Redl will make a new record with the new watch ICEMAN II LIMITED EDITION, provided for him by Edox.

The round case of the novelty in diameter of 45 mm is made of stainless steel 316L with black PVD coating. On the top the case is equipped with anti-reflective sapphire crystal, scratch-resistant. The bezel is made of ceramics in black and marked by a minute scale. The watch water-resistant is 1000 meters.
Blue-black dial is graded by indexes and markings in the form of Arabic numerals, the contours are processed by a red fluorescent substance. Time on the dial is indexed by the central luminescent hands of hours, minutes and seconds. The chronological functions are displayed on the indicators at the 9 and 3 o'clock positions. Date is incorporated into the aperture at the 6 o’clock position.
The novelty operates on the Edox 103 caliber, which is based on the mechanism of Ronda 5021.D with features indicating hours, minutes, seconds, day and date, and chronograph.

ICEMAN II LIMITED EDITION

The model ICEMAN II LIMITED EDITION comes on a structured black rubber strap with a stainless steel buckle, which is engraved with the logo Edox.
The novelty is released in a limited edition of 203 items.
