New sporty Watch by F.P.Journe

The Swiss company F.P.Journe has released a limited edition watch Octa Sport Indy 500 in honor of the famous French driver Jean Alesi in the racing of 500 miles of Indianapolis.
The novelty has a distinctly sporty design that emphasizes the use of more rubber inserts and bright accents on a black dial. The case in black finish and rubber trim is made of high-tech aluminum alloy that is used in aeronautics. Durable and lightweight material has been treated, which increases the resistance of the metal to scratches and oxidation. The case diameter is 42.0 mm, thickness - 11.6 mm, weight – 53 gr. This ultra-light watch is ideal for sports, leisure and everyday life.

The model is created based on the automatic caliber FPJ 1300-3, which guarantees a 120-hour power reserve. The mechanism as the case is made of special aluminum alloy (composed of 286 parts, diameter - 30.8 mm, thickness - 5.7 mm, based on 40 jewels, the frequency of balance oscillation of 21 600 pc / h). The caliber is equipped with a free spring rocker, rolling pin, offset from the center of the rotor made of titanium with a Tungsten inserts and anchor mechanism of 15 teeth. Details of the mechanism are polished and decorated with Côtes de Genève pattern and circular graining.
The caliber provides the work of the central hands (indicate hours and minutes), as well as an additional second’s hand, which is derived on a small dial at the "6" o'clock position, power reserve indicator between "10" and "11" o’clock, the pointer of the day / night at the 8 o’clock position and double aperture of the date at the 1 o’clock position. On the black dial are also highlighted Arabic numerals coated with white phosphor composition Superluminova, brand logo, lettering and logos of Indy 500, Lotus and the car driver Jean Alesi.
The watch comes on a black rubber strap. The folding clasp with F.P.Journe logo and crown (located on the lateral surface of the case at the 4 o’clock position) are protected with a rubber coating.
