Alpina Presents a New Worldtimer Watch

The watch company Alpina announces the release of its novelty under the name Worldtimer. The model, which is part of the Alpina Aviation collection, has been developed in close cooperation with Cessna Aircraft and PrivatAir. And through the cross-marketing Alpina Geneve, Cessna Aviation and PrivatAir advertise their products and services in Europe and North America.
Novelty is equipped with two rotating rings - one with the names of 24 cities, the second – with a 24-hour markup. They are responsible for the world time indication. Local time is displayed by the central hands.

If, for example, the name of the City of New York is located opposite the 5 o’clock position and in New York it is 5:07 a.m., the name of the city of Moscow will be opposite at the 13 o’clock position, and in Moscow, the time will be 13:07 p.m. Similarly, the new Alpina Worldtimer shows the time in all other time zones. The dial is protected by a sapphire crystal. The back side of the model is also covered with a sapphire crystal.
The model is equipped with a function of GMT. By GMT function a day began at noon, that is, noon was taken as 0 o’clock. The more complex the model, the more urgent question arose about the need to display the world time. The model with this feature allows you to find out the time in any of the 24 time zones around the world. World time display function works very simply.
