Luminox - New Watch and a Trip into Space

The unique news: a wristwatch by the watch company Luminox will soon fly to space trip. Only few brands can boast that their chronometers have been tested in space conditions, so for every watch company is a welcome milestone. Upcoming event is announced by the officials of Luminox at the exhibition Baselworld 2012.

The Swiss company begins the cooperation with Spaceliner SXC - a commercial space project dedicated to the extraterrestrial tourism. It is in its part the watches by Luminox for the first time in the history of the company will go into space. Of course, especially for this expedition an exclusive watch will be developed, which will represent the fourth area - Space - in the existing line of Earth, Air, Sea. Pilots and passengers of Spaceliner SXC will have the opportunity to see firsthand the reliability of the watches in absolute weightlessness. Whether these Luminox watches will be automatic and, if so, how will be realized the principle of self-winding is still unknown. But the officials of the company have noted that a unique journey will be a good demonstration of a proprietary dial illumination, which does not require recharging.

Development of space tourism program called CURACAO SXC will begin in 2014. The space shuttle SXC is currently under construction by the company XCOR Aerospace, will take off from the island of Curacao in the Caribbean.

By the way, given that the space tourism is not exactly cheap, the participation in a program for the Luminox is not only a good publicity stunt, but rather an opportunity to attract wealthy clients, or partners who will use the services of space travel agency.
