Nautilo Steel Bronze by Anonimo at BaselWorld 2012

The watch company Anonimo at the annual exhibition BaselWorld 2012 has presented the Dino Zei Nautilo Steel Bronze watch. The first part of the name includes the dedication of Dino Zei ( an Italian naval officer, the former CEO of the watch company Officine Panerai SpA, which is currently cooperating with Anonimo), the second part goes back to the USS Nautilus - first nuclear submarine, which reached the North Pole, and the third part indicates the material from which are made of the case and bezel (it is the stainless steel and naval bronze - an alloy of bronze, iron, aluminum and nickel).
In recent years in the watch industry it pays great attention to the art of "fusion", which means the study of new or a combination of traditional materials.
The company Anonimo has not gone away from other manufacturers, and began the study of new materials, previously not used in the watchmaking. It first used marine bronze, having increased operational capacity, resistance to sea water, acids and temperature effects. In addition, marine bronze has interesting ornamental features: in contrast to the steel and gold, which eventually covered with scratches on the surface of a golden-yellow metal, beautiful stains of patina are appeared.

From the marine bronze is made the bezel of the watch, which is attached to the case with 5 screws.
In the watch case is set an automatic movement Soprod SA 9040/2892-A-2-SO, based at the ETA 2892-2 (diameter - 25.6 mm, thickness 5.1 mm, 24 jewels, power reserve - 40 hours). The caliber is finished in style Colimaçon, equipped with anti-shock system Incabloc, isothermal balance Glucydur and spring Anachron. The mechanism is equipped with an indication of the hours, minutes, seconds, date and power reserve. The central hands indicate time; the date aperture is located at the 3 o’clock position, hand-type power reserve indicator - at the 6 o’clock position.
The watch dial has a non-traditional construction: the minute scale is located on the outer circumference of the traditional hour scale. To denote the five-minute intervals serve Arabic numerals. Small scale, repeating the contour of the central guilloche dial, serves to indicate hours.
The Dino Zei Nautilo Steel Bronze watch is available on a dark brown strap, which in perfectly harmony with the color of the bezel from marine bronze.
The novelty is released in a limited edition of 100 items, the recommended retail price - € 5650.
