The brand was founded during a period of hard crisis for the watchmaking industry. To stay on the market in such difficult conditions mainly helped Raymond Weil's great experience in the watchmaking business.
Brand philosophy is in producing of  high-quality, accurate and reliable watches. In watchmaking Raymond Weil uses traditions and experience of the Swiss watchmaking masters. In 1996 Olivier Bernheim, Weil's son-in-law, became a president of company. Family business expanded even more because of a proper marketing strategy created by a new president. In 1999 the company opened the engineering and design department. This step allowed to control the entire stage of watch production. Today Raymond Weil is a dynamic company which is constantly improving technology of watch production. Watch brand's designers  follow the latest fashion trends. Brand's models combine ergonomics, refinement and modernity. Raymond Weil watches are made of high quality materials: case's are made of titanium, stainless steel, gold, mineral glass or sapphire crystal,  straps are made from  leather or rubber.
Pierre Bernheim and Elie BernheimIn 1983 The" Amadeus" Raymond Weil mechanism setting collection, collection of unique watches, named after the great Austrian composer, Mozart was launched. The same year Milos Forman presented the film of the same name. The “Fidelio” collection was launched in 1985. Uniqueness of the watches is in the interplay of shiny and matt contrasts on the case.
The “Othello” collection is launched to celebrate Raymond Weil’s tenth anniversary in  1986.These refined and unique watches were created with the help of
innovative technologies. The ultra-thin timepieces (1.2mm) played a great part in the worldwide success of  Raymond Weil.
The “Traviata” collection was presented in 1988.  Designers'  flight of fancy took shape in the original watches with  the brave creative solutions.
In 1990 the company launched the most sensational collection - “Parsifal”, which is supplemented with new modernized models till nowadays. This are watches with complications made of high-quality materials.
In 1994 the company launched the new collection  - “Tradition”.  These watches are an attempt to combine Past and Present. They are made in classical style. In the next year the company produced three collection of watches - “Tango”, “Toccata” and “Fantasia”. Round and square  cases of watches with modern, classic and free designs  are the embodiment of elegance, functionality and aesthetic perfection.
Collection  “Don Giovanni Così Grande» was presented to watchmaking art fans in 2002. These watches is an example of the technical perfection. In 2004 the new Raymond Weil Watchmodel with 2 time zones was added to the collection. These watches were made for people who prefer to travel.
In 2005 the company launched a new women collection “Shine” which became an incarnation of  femininity,  sensitivity and charm. Watches could be worn with different colored clothes because of special patented system of easy-changed bracelets and straps. Straps of different colors  will suit to mood and wishes of   luxury watches' owners.
In 2007  two new collections of watches “Nabucco” and “Freelancer” were launched.
The women collection “Noemia” was presented by the brand  in 2009. Watches are encrusted with diamonds, its shine gets the affect on every woman.
In 2010 the company added once again new models to the collections “Parsifal” and “Freelancer”. In the new model of “Parsifal” traditional design of watches was saved. Main elements, which emphasize individuality of this symbolic collection, were modernized. The new model of “Freelancer Black 8” was launched in a limited-edition of just 200 items. Diamonds brightly shines on a black dial of watches.
In 2011 at  BaselWord watch exhibition the brand presented refined  women wrist watches “Maestro Lady”. Unique design attracted a lot of attention, on the white mother-of-pearl dial there are indexes as Roman numerals with diamonds.
“Maestro Phase de Lune” is a unique combination of difficulties and elegance. On the black dial there is the blue moon phase indicator at 10:30 position which attracts people's attention. The pushbutton for setting tRaymond Weil Watchhe Moon Phase located between “12” and “1”.
The “Freelancer” collection got one more new model which suits  to the whole design of the collection. There is the silver-color  opalescent dial with blue central hands. The watch's strap is made of dark-brown leather.
“Nabucco Inverso” represents the wisdom of the human being who chooses the path of reason and changes the course of events. Technical difficulties mounted in the charismatic design.
At the exhibition 3 new models “New Parsifal” were presented.  Designers of the company during the  creation of  the new models stood by the design of the “Parsifan” collection and saved its primary aesthetic.
It's important to point out that all watches Raymond Weil have more than 350 tests before they get the brand's quality stamp.
