JORDI Watches

The history of the JORDI watch company begins in 1988. The company has the name of its founder, Michel Jordi. Nowadays, the company is working at creation of  high-technology watches and constantly experimenting. Its motto is “Innovation in Time” that, as well as possible, reflects Michel Jordi's character. The company's first steps were rather successful, but in 2003 difficulties  appeared in the economy, as a result they bankrupted the company. Despite that, in 2004 Michel Jordi declared about the launch of the new first class collection. The main model is Twins. Henceforth, the real story of the company has started. Thus, the brand changed its directions and began producing watches of the Haute Horlogerie level.
The case of the Twins watch consists of two parts connected with each other by a rotating lock. During the whole history of the watchmaking, it is the first watch which opens like a fan. All the calibres are produced to order in a limited edition. Its height is 17 to 20 mm, a diameter can be 43, 45 or 47 mm. The ergonomic case smoothly places on the wrist.
For example, the Twins Squelette watch is equipped with the movement  Frederic Piguet 71, one of the thinnest movement in the whole world. The company's watchmakers slightly completed this movement, having moved a second hand on the separate dial. The company has more than ten collections. However, the most wanted watch is Twins Heritage. An upper part of the case is made of white gold, a lower part – rose gold. Watches of this collection are outfitted with two movements. The first is a self winding one with an hour and minute hands, a small second hand, a date and a moonphase indicator and a power-reserve, the latter – a small one-buttoned chronograph. The watch shows 0,2 second and in the centre has a big second hand of a chronograph, a 30 minute counter of a chronograph, a second time zone indicator and a small second hand.
There is also a skeletonized variant of this watch called Twins Squelette with the lower skeletonized case. The Twins Titan Chrono is a line of many-leveled watches of sports style with a rubber strap. There is also a model with a tourbillon named Twins Tourbillon and more traditional models: Phoenix Single and Equinox Single. One of the latest masterpieces of Michel Jordi is Tourbillon Labyrinthe. The upper case of the watch is decorated with relief numerals making a graphic labyrinth. It has a loupe allowing to examine a 43 mm tourbillon in detail. Naturally, the lower level serves to fix time of the second time zone and has a 5 day power-reserve.
