DeLaCour Watches

DeLaCour is a Genevan brand, founded by a jeweler and a designer, Pierre Koukjian. The brand's watches attracted everyone's attention at once by their complicated movements and crooked cases.
 The “Bichrono” is the first watch model, produced by the company, that has 2 symmetrically situated dials. The dial is made of titanium, the watch is equipped with 2 automatic ETA movements, it's power reserve is 37 hours. It's notable, that there are only 33 jewels in the movements. In 2003, at the Geneva Time Expo, the Bichrono watch was appreciated and nominated in the “Best Design” category. And a year later, the model won the “Unique Design Watch” title at the “Year Award” in Tokyo. DeLaCour company became famous, thanks to the Bichrono model's success. And Pierre Koukjian together with his partners decided to build a monument with the Bichrono watch in front of a building, situated in the center of Geneva, near the Jet d'Eau fountain. The second novelty was the “Bichrono Hommage” model. The watch's dial is made of natural valuable timber tree. This dial's creation required more, than 50 operations. The characteristic detail of the model is the double chronographs, each with 3 meters: seconds, minutes and hours. The case is made of 18-carat rose gold and the dial is covered with a sapphire crystal. It's notable, that DeLaCour watches are mainly made of rose gold. Moreover, the company produces watches, decorated with diamonds, specifically made for football players.
 DeLaCour company promotes itself in the football market rather actively. Football stars, together with the Swiss DeLaCour watch company, has produced an exclusive watch series. The basis for the football stars' watches was the Bichrono model. The colours, used in the watches' execution, are taken from the mnemonics of the football teams, represented by the football stars. The following football players took part in designing the watches: Ronaldinho, Alessandro Del Piero, Luis Fabiano, Roberto Carlos and others. By the way, the famous football trainer, Jose Mourinho, became the image of DeLaCour “The Mourinho City Ego” collection. When Cristiano Ronaldo saw Jose Mourinho with this watch, he wished to buy the brand's watch, despite the contract, signed with another watch manufacturer. The most famous model from DeLaCour is the “Bitourbillon”. The name speaks for the watch itself. It has 2 unfixed tourbillons, situated symmetrically. The tourbillons' energy is evenly distributed between the balance's and the escapement's operation. One minute hand revolves on the central axis and you can see the current hour in 2 time zones in the main dial's apertures. Local time is shown in the red aperture and the second time is shown in the left one. The model also has a moon phase indicator, with a “shooting star”, flowing over the surface every 6 minutes and giving the watch romanticism and mystery.
 The next model with 2 tourbillons is the “Bitourbillon Baguette”. The watch's case, made of rose gold, is decorated with diamonds. You can see the movement with the axle in the form of the Scorpio sign of the zodiac through the transparent case back. But the Scorpio sign can be changed into any other sign of the zodiac at customer's option.
 DeLaCour company strives for getting new materials, which allow it to create new original watches. For example, in the DeLaCour Hommage model's production, walnut root was used and the DeLaCour Bichrono “Fidelidad” watch's dial is made of Cuban tobacco leaf.
 DeLaCour is not only original watches, but also superior quality, Swiss movements, precious stones, helping to create new drawings on the watches. While creating the watches, the company's experts don't forget the company's motto: “Since Tomorrow”, which means: “Founded Tomorrow”.
