Boucheron Watches

Boucheron is a French jewellery company established by Frederic Boucheron in 1858. In 2002 the PPR/Gucci Group took possession of the company where four generations had changed. The Boucheron brand is famous for its luxurious masterpieces which feature refinement and unique design.
Quite recently the Boucheron company has started collaborating with the MB&F brand. In 2005 Maximilian Büsser left a place of a head of the Harry Winston company to establish the MB&F - Maximilian Büsser and Friends company which must be engaged in producing exclusive watches.
The company creates three-dimensional “watch machines” that are complex works of the micromechanics and at the same time high-technological instruments of the 21st century. “The Watch Machine ¹3” has precursors: HM1 launched in 2007. It is a watch with two dials of some layers and the unique movement in a form of a numeral 8 and with a  raised central tourbillon. HM2 launched in 2008 is a unique watch equipped with the movement uniting “a jumping hour”, a concentric retrograde minute indicator, a date indicator, a moonphase indicator of two hemispheres and a self winding. Its case consisting of 100 components is the most complicated over the whole history of the watchmaking art.
People, charmed with this watch, began making their own variants of the MB&F complicated watch. For example, Sage Vaughn, an American artist, wrapped the “Watch Machine ¹2” in barbed wire, and Alain Silberstein, a French designer and a watchmaker, introduced this watch in a form of a black box. And the Boucheron company presented  the JwlryMachine watch making the “Watch Machine ¹3” magnificent.
When Boucheron and MB&F declared about their collaboration, everybody was surprised. But the launch of the JwlryMachine watch proved that they had worked to good purpose, because there was something to amaze watch lovers.
The young creative laboratory and the old jewelry house have become perfect partners and the JwlryMachine watch launched in 2009 is an obvious evidence.
Boucheron's designers demonstrated 63 conceptions during the presentation. Maximilian Büsser chose an owl, because its form perfectly fit the “watch machine” construction. Masters made the owl jewelry body from a gold block in a form of complex construction. It is consisted of 5 separate segments. MB&F's masters secured these segments with screws in such a way that not to break the most complex functions of the movement. All used components were perfect. The semitransparent chest of the owl was of an interesting performance. It was made of a block amethyst or rose quartz. The masters were working very carefully not to damage hand-made components, because these stones were hard. But they coped with the task. As a result the watch hypnotizes and tells us about the mystery which the movement keeps.
The Boucheron company has launched the original Tourbillon Bestiaire wristwatch which style resembles adornments from the jewelry Extravagant Bestiary collection. The main theme of the collection is wild animals.
The 42 mm diameter case of the Tourbillon Bestiaire wristwatch is made of 18 carat white gold. The mother-of-pearl dial is engraved with the curled stem-shaped tracery and covered with a sapphire glass. On the left side of the dial a frog sits and on the right a flower is. The watch has a tourbillon on 17 jewels and is launched in two variants. The first is with 282 stones: rubies, sapphires and garnets. The latter is a composition of the same stones but they are 195.
Other new model is the Reflet XL watch from the Reflet XL Jewelry collection. Its movement is automatic GP 4000. This collection includes wristwatches both for men and women. Cases of men's watches are made of polished steel, women's watches – rose gold.
The company has also launched collections of classical watches: Precieux Symboles, Quatre, Cinna Pampiles and Ava.
Boucheron elegant watches are Ma Jolie Tout Or watch, Crazy Ma Joli, Crazy Paradå and Sheherazade Tourbillon.
Ma Jolie Tout Or watch is a stylish and feminine watch with the round gold case and the rose gold bracelet. It is equipped with the company's quartz movement and water-resistant to 30 metres. The dial is decorated with brilliants.
Crazy Ma Jolie is a watch equipped with the self winding movement Girard-Perregaux GP4000 Seconde Folle. Its case diameter is 42 mm. The watch is decorated with 122 sparkling brilliants, 204 of which are on the dial, and 2 amethysts, 3 rose sapphires and 3 rubies.
On the dial of the Crazy Parade watch a peafowl is depicted. It looks like alive due to  jewellers' fine work. Its body and train are decorated with precious stones.
Sheherazade Tourbillon has the manual winding movement of a 100 hour power-reserve. The dial, the case and the tourbillon are decorated with jewels.
The Boucheron company has collaborated with the Girard-Perregaux watch company. As a result of this activity the tourbillon Ladyhawke Tourbillion wristwatch has been launched. Its name is related to the legend telling about love and mystery and a heroine who turns into a hawk in the daytime and becomes a beautiful woman at night. The watch is made of white gold, decorated with 833 brilliants and rubies and outfitted with the tourbillon movement Girard-Perregaux.
Boucheron timepieces are true luxury and originality. They are also a combination of the jewelry art and the laconic Swiss masters' craftsmanship.
